How to download all your Whatsapp account information

Whatsapp is one of the most popular social media applications worldwide that is being used for messaging, sharing of documents, videos, photos and other media files. After Instagram, Whatsapp has also launched an update that allows you to request and download your account information. This update will not download your text messages. Let’s learn how to request download Whatsapp information on your Smartphone.

To download Whatsapp data for Android

In order to do that, first make sure that you are using updated version of Whatsapp on your android device.

• Open Whatsapp on your phone.
• Tap on three dots on the top right corner and then select “Settings” from the drop-down menu.
• Tap “Account” in Whatsapp settings.

• In the Account section tap “Request account info.”

• Tap “Request report” to request your account information report.

• After this, your request will now be sent to Whatsapp and it will take up to 3 days from the request date to avail your information report for downloading.

To download Whatsapp data for iPhone

• First, you need to update the Whatsapp version on your iPhone.
• After updating Whatsapp to the latest version, open Whatsapp on your phone and then open “Settings.”
• In the Whatsapp settings, tap “Account.”

• In the Account section, tap “Request Account Info.”

• Tap “Request Report” in “Request Account Info” section.

• After this, your request will now be sent to Whatsapp and it will take up to 3 days from the request date to avail your information report for downloading.

After the 3 days, you can see “Download report” option in your Whatsapp, you may get it on your device by visiting Whatsapp Settings > Account > Request account info.  After tapping on “Download report”, you can see two options “Export report” and “Delete report.” This report will be available only for the 30 days duration.
