On your iPhone, many iOS apps that require your location prompt you to select “Always” or “While using the app.” But recently Uber app is updated and it prompts you to select “Always” or “Never” choice that means it keeps tracking your location even if you ended the Uber ride or stop using the Uber app on your iPhone. If Uber tracks your location even you are not using app, it may cause some privacy concerns. However, company says location tracking enhances safety, customer service, pick-ups and drop offs. If you want to repeal Uber’s ability to track your location, you may easily do it by following the below given steps:

• In order to stop Uber from tracking your iPhone’s location, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services on your iPhone.

• Scroll down to locate “Uber” app in the list and then tap on it.

• Select “While Using”, doing so will allow Uber to access your location while you are actually using the app.
• Moreover, if you don’t want to stop Uber from accessing your location completely, tap “Uber”  from the app list  and select “Never.”

This is how you may easily revoke Uber’s permissions to use your device location. After denying to the location access, you’ll have to manually enter the pickup location inside the app or you may also enable the service for some time and then disable it as soon as you start your ride.
