How to remove location from a photo on your Smartphone using Google Photos

To remove a location from your photo

If you don’t want to share your location with others, you may easily remove photo location by following the below given steps:

• On your Android or iOS device, open the “Google Photos” app.
• Open a “Photo” or “Video.”
• Next to the location, click More>Info.

• Click “No location”, doing so will remove location from your photo.

Stop people from seeing the location of your photos

However, there are many ways available to share photos with other that makes difficult to remove location from every place or site you use to share a photo but if you share a photo using a link, the location of your photo can be easily removed , follow the below given steps to do that:

• On your Android or iOS device, open the “Google Photos” app.
• Tap Menu> Settings>Remove Geo location in items shared by link, doing so will remove location from your photos and videos that you shares using a link.

Note: If you are sharing a photo or video in a different way, for example, downloading and emailing it to someone, it may still share your photo location.

Also it does not remove location, if you’ve already shared the photo or video using a link.
