How to use Digital Touch on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

With iOS 10, Apple introduced a new functionality “Digital Touch” to messages app on your iPhone. With Digital Touch, you may send friends and family drawings, fireballs, heartbeats, kisses, and more, all with just a few taps. You may use Digital Touch for sending sketches, taps, or even a heartbeat right from the Messages app. You may use this feature on the device running iOS 11 or 12, all these communication features can be used for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. How to send a sketch, tap, or heartbeat with Digital Touch?

If you want to send a hand-drawn Sketch, haptic Taps, or sensor-read Heartbeats with digital touch, follow these steps:

• Launch the Messages app on your iPhone or iPad.
• Now, tap write message and enter a contact. Or you may open any existing conversation.
• Now tap on the Digital Touch icon that looks like two hands in a heart.
• Now, select the type of Digital Touch that you want to send.
• If you want to cancel the changes, tap on the cancel button. When you’re ready to send, tap “Send a sketch” doing so will automatically send the heartbeat, fireball, kiss, and broken heart.

• Sketch: Tap on the blue-black round button to change colors and then move one finger to draw.
• Tap: Tap on the blue-black round button to change colors and then tap the screen with one finger once or repeatedly.
• Heartbeat: Touch and hold the screen with two fingers until you see a heartbeat on your device screen.
• Fireball: Touch and hold the screen with a one finger.
• Kiss: Tap the screen with two fingers.
• Broken heart: Touch and hold the device screen with two fingers and drag down.

If you send a Digital Touch to the person who doesn’t have iOS 10 or later, he will get a static image instead of an animated one.
