How to backup and restore Google Chrome data

Sometimes, you might face auto restart of your computer or sudden crash in your chrome browser that causes chances of removing all your saved data including bookmarks, history, passwords and apps from your Google chrome. To backup Chrome data

• Open Google chrome browser on your computer.
• Click three-dotted icon on the top right corner of the browser page.
• Click “Settings” from the drop-down menu.
• If you are not signed-in to your account, you need to click “Sign In To Chrome” to log-in to your account.

• Once you are logged in, go to the Settings of your account and find the “Sync” option and click on it.

• In the “Advanced sync settings”, enable “Sync everything.” Doing so will back up the entire Google Chrome data related to your accounts.

To restore Chrome data

Once your back up is created, you may restore it easily when you required, follow the below given steps to do that.

• Open Chrome browser on the computer where you want to restore the Google Chrome data.
• Click three-dotted icon on the top right corner of the browser page.
• Click “Settings” from the drop-down menu.
• If you are not signed-in to your account, you need to click “Sign In To Chrome” to log-in to your account.
• After logging into your account, all the Google Chrome data and settings will be restored on your computer.
