• To delete photos from a moment: Press Delete and then click Delete for deleting all the selected photos from your library and moving them to the Recently Deleted album.
• To delete photos from an album but not from your library: Press Delete for removing all the selected photos from the album only and keeping them saved in your library.
• To delete photos from a Smart Album: Press Command-Delete for removing all the selected photos from your library and moving them to the Recently Deleted album.
• To delete photos and then completely remove them from the Recently Deleted album: Press Command-Delete and then open the Recently Deleted album. Now, select the items you want to delete permanently, click Delete and then click the OK button.

How to recover recently deleted photos in Photos library on Mac?
