How to use your Windows 10 PC as a mobile hotspot

Most of us have Windows 10 PC at our home or office which is connected to Ethernet or mobile data connection. If you want to use or share internet from your PC to other devices over Wi-Fi connection, you may easily do it by turning your PC in to Wi-Fi hotspot.  If you share your PC mobile data connection, it will be deducted from your data plan.Let’s learn how to use your Windows 10 PC as a mobile hotspot.

You may easily change your Windows 10 PC into mobile hotspot and share internet with your other devices, follow the below given steps to do that:

  • From the “Start” menu, go to SettingsNetwork & Internet > Mobile hotspot.

Note: you need an USB Wireless adapter to turn your Windows10 Desktop to mobile network.

  • If you are unable to see “Mobile hotspot”option , Open a Command Prompt window as administrator and run the following command:
netsh wlan show drivers

  • If your PC supports wireless adapters then only you may turn it into mobile hotspot.
  • For “Share my Internet connection from”, select the Internet connection you want to share.

  • Click “Edit”, enter a new network name and password and then click “Save.”

  • Enable “Share my Internet connection with other devices.”
  • To connect on the other device, open the Wi-Fi settings on that device.
  • Find your network name and select it.
  • Enter the password and then select “Connect.”

This is how , you may easily turn your Windows 10 PC into mobile hotspot and share its network to your another devices over WiFi network.
