- On your iPhone or iPad, swipe up (iPhone 8 or earlier) or down (iPhone X or later) to bring up Control Center and then enable Airplane mode.
- Launch the “Settings” app and select “General” from the “Settings” menu.
- Select iPhone Storage from the General menu then tap to select your software update from the list of items available on your device.
- Now, tap the large “Delete Update button” and then tap “Delete Update” again to confirm deletion of the software update from your device.
