How to backup your contacts on your Mac

How to manually backup contacts on your Mac?

You may easily export your contact list in Contacts app that comes default with every Mac, follow these steps:

• Open the Contacts app on your Mac.
• Now, click on File in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
• Click Export > Contacts Archive.

• Now, name the save file, select where you want to save, and then finally click the “Save” button.

For any reason, if exporting does not work, you may drag your contacts to your desktop. Follow these steps:

• Open the Contacts app on your Mac.
• On the left side of screen, click “All Contacts” and then click a contact.
• Now, press “Command-A” on your keyboard, doing so will select all your contacts.
• Finally, click and drag your contacts to your desktop.

How to export contacts to your Mac from your iCloud account?

• You may easily get all your contact from iCloud to Mac, follow these steps:
• On your Mac, open iCloud.com in any browser.
• Enter Apple ID and Password to sign into your iCloud account.
• Click “Contacts” and then click any contact.
• Now, press “Command-A” on your keyboard, doing so will select all your contacts.
• At the bottom left of the window, click the Cog icon and then click “Export vCard.”
